Electro-Etching good ، Electro-Etching good

Hey there, OT. I was wondering if you guys have ever tried electro-etching/galvanography or anything like that.

I recently found a site about it (google "steampunk electroetch"), and really want to try it! There’s also a link at the end of that page that has more extensive info on the subject.

What sorts of experience/knowledge/warnings/tips/comments do you guys have about this process? My biggest concern is currently (no pun intended) obtaining and using the right battery safely.

Planning a trip to Alaska. The 70-200 isn’t going cut it for wildlife, even though it will go obviously.

I really can’t afford the 400+ primes to rent, but this bitch is "affordable" for 7 days.

Is it decently sharp and fast focusing?

How useful is Horizontal positioning on a tripod? good ، How useful is Horizontal positioning on a tripod? good

I’m researching tripods and have narrowed it down to the Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 or the Silk 634 CF.
My tripod requirements are: weights less than 3lbs, folds down to less than ~20 inches, under $300, and around 60 inches full height. Max support weight not really a concern.

The nice feature about the 190CXPRO series is that the center column can be adjusted to swivel 90 degrees and can setup horizontal shooting. This, a cool feature and all, seems more like a novelty and I don’t see my self using the feature that much. Plus, it seems like more parts capable of breaking over time.

Is the swivel feature that useful in shooting landscapes?
Or is this feature more suited towards shooting under specific circumstances that typical tripod shooting would never need? Any 190Pro or 55Pro users who absolutely love their swivel for horizontal shooting?

Up for sale is my Canon 5D with low shutter count. My 5Dc went into Canon for cleaning in March, 2022. Canon verified that it had 2,050 clicks on it after it was cleaned, inspected, and reinforced the mirror per their service bulletin.

This is my backup body so my primary is a 5D2. I’ve put approx. 2,500 clicks on it since then. It comes with a 6 batteries (4 Canon and 2 third party), a Canon grip (purchased around March, 2022 and in perfect condition), Canon battery charger, and original box.

Only thing that I do not have is the Canon strap (I use Rapidstraps), but have another Canon strap from a DSLR that I’ve included (same thing, but not as new, but great condition).

9/10 Condition.
There are a few "faults" which I have highlighted in the pics below.

Reason for sale
Looking to get a 7D for use w my 70-200 range to use with my 5D2 for weddings.

I’ve taken his res pictures of this camera and have highlighted using red circles the areas that are not 10/10.

This picture (below) shows that there is a ever so slight nick. It’s minor, but I want to give full disclosure. There are also some extremely minor scratches on the LCD. The rest on the LCD seen below is just my finger print smudges.

The hotshoe paint has chipped off from putting on the flash and taking it off. Also the neck strap loop thing has some paint chipped from me using the keychain ring with my vest.

I bought one of the Groupons that Canvas on Demand ran before the holidays. I’m considering using one of the images from the 40D I once had, the resolution of which is 3888×2572. I need something fairly large for my office wall, and was thinking of going with 24×36". They print the canvas at 150 dpi, which seems to work out to be something like 17×26. Think I’d be okay resizing it to a 24×36, or will it look like shit?
