So what do i need to do to work with RAW files? I shot a couple of test shots in RAW + jpeg but have no idea what to do with the RAW file now. Do i need a special program to work with it?
If anybody knows a good step by step on the web somewhere can you link it? :x:

there is a local 40d for sale, I have been tempted by 40ds since I got my XS, as they are so much more comfortable to use..
other than, build quality, comfort, Iso, af points, etc… :mamoru: why would one upgrade to a 40d from an XS!? 😮
such a tough decision, hell i even feel like i can sell the XS and break even.. what do the pros think?

So a gift card to amazon.com prompted me to really think about finally doing this…
I plan on setting up film development (black and white) for about 75 bucks. This should include tank, chemicals, changing bag, etc. Doesn’t include film. Since I’ve got an old minolta xg-m, srTmc-II, and maxxum 7000 with assorted collection of glass it just sort of makes sense.
Hopefully around feb. I’ll have found a decent negative scanner for less than two hundred bucks.
So anyway, with links and prices (suggestions welcome)

Ilford Ilfosol-3 one shot liquid developer 8.50
So far I’m at about 67 bucks. Clothes pins, scissors, can openers, I have all that. I think the only other thing i’d really need is a couple graduated beakers, one small and one large, but I’m still shopping for a good deal (hoping to try an figure a way to use a cheapo measuring cup).

I’m fairly new to the DSLR scene. I’ve taken a few up close pics, outside I had no issues with focus. Indoors photographing the coins proved particularly difficult. I’ve included the three best pics of the coins and as you can see in some cases the focus is a bit beyond them. I am not sure why it tends to lose focus on the coins??? Any thoughts/tips/etc will be more than welcome…

what causes orbs in pictures? my girlfriend likes to live in fairy land and claims theyre ghosts. i said theyre not, its from reflected dust and moisture and i could replicate it (…i cant :o). how can i take a picture so orbs appear so i can get her to stop claiming that theyre ghosts :mamoru:
